the monster in Loch Ness! This is a remarkable journey that includes our
most spectacular mountains and valleys, together with some world class
riding.

Detailed itinerary
Day 1. Arrive in Glasgow. Whether arriving by bus, train or plane we can
pick you up and take you to your accommodation. We’ll get the bikes
ready for the journey ahead and have a pre-trip briefing.

Day 2. We head out of the city via some scenic cycle paths and through
Mugdock Country Park. Then it’s along the shores of Loch Lomond and a
great chance to warm up the legs and take in the stunning views over
Loch Lomond. Our accommodation is at the north end of the Loch.

Day 3. We leave the bonnie banks of Loch Lomond charging head-on into
the Highlands on old military and drove roads, through deserted glens,
surrounded by some of Scotland’s most impressive, towering peaks.
Overnight near the head of Glencoe.

Day 4. We cycle through Glencoe - what a way to start the day! Then,
after passing through Kinlochleven, we tackle one of the steepest climbs
of the trip. The trail is challenging and technical and we are totally
enclosed by mountains as we head ever forward towards Ben Nevis. We
spend the night in Fort William, at the foot of Scotland’s highest mountain.

Day 5. From Fort William we continue into Leanachan forest for a blast
along some excellent singletrack. Then we drop down to the Caledonian
Canal and fantastic scenery along Loch Lochy and Loch Oich. Our day
ends near the mouth of Loch Ness in Invergarry.

Day 6. Today we cycle almost the full length of Loch Ness – keep your
eyes peeled for the monster! Great trails and superb scenery take us to
the heart of monster country at Drumnadrochit.

Day 7. One final climb out of ‘Drum’ followed by a lovely bit of highland
singletrack, a fantastic descent and a final stretch of the Caledonian canal
take us to the capital of the Highlands and our journey’s end at Inverness.
You now have the chance to celebrate your awesome achievement or just
collapse in a heap - well done, you made it!

Accommodation Details

For all of our trips we have accommodation options available to suit every taste and budget. For those who want to stick to a tight budget we can organise camping or hostel accommodation with a couple of nights spent under canvas in the wilderness if requested. For those who prefer more comfort we can stay in small inns, hotels or bed and breakfast accommodation with secure bike storage, excellent facilities and tasty local food. At the top end of the scale you can stay in 4 star luxury and get a facial or your nails done after a hard day in the saddle - the choice is yours!
