Kanchanaburi Cycling Tours
What do we see? We start our ride by visiting the Bridge over River Kwai, the Railway Museum, the Death Railway, and the Kraset Caves. Then, we continue to explore Wat Prasat Muang Singh, a 12th-century Khmer temple. Scenic country backroads wind through the province before ending at the memorable and historic Hellfire Pass.
What is the riding like? Our first ride is through stunning countryside, small Thai villages, and teak plantations. The second day is full and colourful as we ride jungle trails where red, literate roads create striking contrast against the brilliant greens of the jungle and bright blues of the sky. The scenery along this ride is awe-inspiring as limestone cliffs punctuate a rolling, mountainous skyline. Our final ride is a touch more challenging, but all the more rewarding as then we are able to cruise unforgettable descents through the jungle. Lastly, we'll ride riverside paths along the tributary of the Kwai Noi and the roads to the infamous Hellfire Pass.
Although there is some harder riding, the tour has proven suitable for most cycling levels, and it is popular with families. The entire trip is fully-supported by an air conditioned, equipped minibus.
Anything else? We can't say enough about our Kanchanabuiri Bike Ride. The scenery is truly outstanding, the accommodation is simply marvelous and the riding superb. Add plenty of cultural interest and some memorable meals and you have one of the best little bike rides ever.

Where do we stay?
Words like charming and 'beautifully located' are horribly overused on travel websites, but in this case they are frighteningly inadequate. Pung Waan Resort really is beautifully located, on the banks of the River Kwai and River Kwai Resotel, which is a great junglestyle resort, is stacked with charm and character. It also boasts a riverside swimming pool, herbal steam room and some of the best practitioners of traditional Thai massage - perfect after a day in the saddle.
