Itinerary

Itinerary

Day 1

Arrive Salzburg Airport where your transfers will be provided to Obertraun at the heart of the Salzkammergut region of Austria and to your spacious en-suite room at the Obertrauner Hof. If you have an early arrival flight, your hosts will suggest a range of activities for you to take part in or simply just step out the front

Day 2

Level trail to Bad Goisern around the Lake perimenter, from here you embark on a 50km course into the mountains above the town. Altitude change of 600m. Cool down as you return via the Lake.


Day 3

Almost immediately into the ride as you cycle to Lahn and climb into the mountains experiencing over 1,000m rise to Rossalm. Returning via Gosausee & Hallstatt.

Day 4

Return Transfer to Salzburg Airport

Location

The village of Obertraun is set on the Eastern shores of the beautiful Hallstatter See Lake in the Inner Salzkammergut region of Austria. Obertraun is just over 1 hour from Salzburg Airport allowing for a truly natural "away from it all experience" whilst being close enough to the airport to avoid lengthy transfers.

The Discothek Haifischbar is open Tuesday - Saturday and is located in Obertraun. Both English and Austrian are spoken in the club and many local and international beverages are served.

There are 4 Bars in Obertraun all creating a warm and friendly atmosphere for tourists and locals alike.

There are 5 restaurants in Obertraun serving a range of cuisine from, authentic regional specialities to pizza and other international dishes.

The Obertrauner Hof offers guest house accommodation in 12 spacious en-suite bedrooms many of which have balconies opening out to breath-taking panoramic views of the Dachstein Massif.
Comfortably furnished communal lounge areas and a peaceful garden provide the perfect opportunity to compare notes with fellow travellers or offer a quiet retreat after an exciting day outdoors.


The Obertrauner Hof comes complete with a generously sized restaurant/bar: Glankowirt, offering Salzkammergut cuisine in friendly surroundings, ideal to socialise with the village locals and fellow guests.
