Want to discover some new, exciting and hair raising mountains for you to throw yourself down on the back of a Downhill Moutain Bike? Then come and discover what the awesome Austrian mountains have on offer for you! Amazing scenery together with well made and maintained trails makes this the perfect getaway. In 1 week you will explore 3 different areas across Austria: Schladming, Wagrain, and Leogang, all with their own superb downhill tracks and facilities on offer for the serious biker. With a 4500 metre downhill track on the Planai moutain Schladming has one of the longest tracks in Europe and one of the best in the world. The UCI mountain bike world cup takes place here every year. Leogang is famed for hosting the Kona competition freeriding and freestyle events and Wagrain has a park said to be the best in Austria, all 3 spots with great facilities available such as bike, helmet & body armour hire and washing & repair facilities for your bike. All 3 areas have cable car access enabling you to reach the mountain peaks with ease and are located next to spectacularly picturesque towns so you can relax in a cool bar after a hard day on the saddle!

Itinerary

You will be picked up from the airport by your Action Austria rep and brought to your 1st location: Schladming, where you will be given an informal and friendly welcome meeting, giving you all the essential information for the week, plus maps and your itinerary.

Days 1-2- Schladming National Downhill course and 4 Cross track
Days 3-4- Wagrain Mountain Bike Park - featuring NEW Slopestyle Park from June 2009
Days 5-6- Leogang: connected with Salbach Hinterglemm

We will drive you from Schladming to Wagrain on day 3, and then again from Wagrain to Leogang on day 5. We will then come and pick you up on day 7 for your return airport transfer.

We will have your lift passes ready for your experience of a great week packed full of mountain biking adventures in some of the best downhill and freeriding spots in Europe.

Accommodation Details

You will be staying in 3 Star biker friendly accommodation in 3 different locations across Austria, Schladming, Wagrain and Leogang. All accommodation has secure bike storage and modern facilities for you to relax in at the end of the day. All accommodation is Bed and Breakfast.
