Hooked Cabarete is small-scaled hotel with apartments in Cabarete in the Dominican Republic. High quality apartments, not expensive and with many things to do and see. Hooked Cabarete is a great and relaxed place to be and the apartments are located in a beautiful surrounding near the beach Encuentro: a fantastic wavesurf and kitesurf spot.

Activities

Besides surfing, kitesurfing and diving, Hooked also organizes many other activities. If you like to see more of the country with a small group of people, Hooked organizes several trips into the mountains, hidden villages, cities or beaches to see more of the local culture. Also ATV-tours, cascading (canyoning) on waterfalls, Yoga or Pilatus, mountain biking and many other things are possible at Hooked.

Frequently we also organise things like barbecues, typical Dominican diners, kite- and surftrips to other spots and downwinders from other spots to Encuentro.

Of course you can also take kite- or surflessons or rent surfboards, kites and kiteboards. You can find more info about lessons and rental on the page kite & surfschool.

The beach

The apartments are located near the beach of Encuentro. This is one of the most relaxed places on the island. It is a beautiful beach where you don't see the negative sides of tourism yet. Friendly people who will welcome you into their surfers family and great waves for wavesurfing and kitesurfing. For kitesurfers who prefer more flat water, we have the possibility to kite at kitebeach and store your gear there for free. And Cabarete is a great place to be. Nice people, good restaurants and bars and lots of things to do; also if you don't want to surf or kitesurf.
