Lycia, a mountainous and densely forested region in Antalya province and has one of the most beautiful coastlines, one of the few remaining in Southern Turkey. Inhabited since pre-historic times it takes its name from the Lycian League, established in 168 BC with democratic principles. Major cities included Xanthos, Patara and Myra. Olympos formed a stronghold against the pirates of the Turquoise Coast. Spring and Autumn times are the best to perform activities such as biking and trekking. The area has a beutiful nature of its own.
A lot of people come for trekking to the Lycian Way. It is a long distance trekking route with 500 km length. Now, I personally did this Lycian Way tour on my bike.
