Job Description
We are looking for an enthusiastic sales executive to join
our team working on our adventure activities & holiday
website (www.adventuresportsholidays.com) at our offices next
to Hove Station.
We are seeking an individual to help expand our company client
base and to sell advertising space by email, phone and occasionally
face to face. The chosen candidate will preferably have a
sales background with experience selling business to business.
Experience in the travel and/or sports industry or in Internet
advertising would be an advantage.
The chosen candidate must have a good telephone manner and
be comfortable using the Internet, writing emails (in English)
and selling over the phone. The candidate will be enthusiastic,
well organised and ambitious. They will relish the opportunity
of working in a small innovative new media company and making
their role a success. We are looking to build a long standing
team that will take our company forward as the premier activity
course and holiday portal on the Internet.
Main duties & Responsibilities (but not limited
to):
- Utilise our supplier database to increase the number
of companies listing active products on our network of sites.
- Identify new potential suppliers and cold contact them
by phone and email to sell advertising space.
- Help to ensure that suppliers renew listings before they
expire.
- To invoice suppliers take payments over the phone and
to chase payments.
- Help to ensure that suppliers information and products
are accurate and up to date.
- Responsible for a portion of the team target and in helping
to achieve the overall target.
- To provide assistance in marketing, research and site
improvements as required.
Experience/Aptitude/Skills Required
- Proven track record in target driven sales environment
- Can demonstrate flexibility and reliability
- Enthusiastic and self motivated
- Able to build relationships with suppliers, agents, colleagues
and customers
- Excellent communication/interpersonal and organisational
skills
- Ability to work on own initiative as well as being a team
player
- Able to focus clearly on objectives and targets
- Able to portray a professional and positive attitude
- Interest in Adventure Sports - preferable
