Mountain Biking Bourg St Maurice
The chalet is available for self catering groups in the summer. It is in the most ideal location because almost all of the mountain activities are within 15 minutes by bicycle.
For those of you who really want to get stuck in to your mountain biking, you can take the funicular train into Les Arcs (or drive for 15 min) and the trans Arcs cable car takes you from Les Arcs 1800 with your bicycle up the mountain to around 3000Metres, where you have access to an unlimited number of trails. There are fantastic tree runs in Vallandry and tight narrow down hill passages, rock drops basically everything a mountain biker could want.
For those who do not know the area there are guides available to take you in to the mountains. There are even 3 day camping excursions by bike where you eat and sleep in the mountains.
Locally, within 15 min ride, there are all the other activities you could want such as 36 tennis courts, very large outdoor pool with diving boards, climbing, white water rapids hence canoeing, canyoning, swimming in live waters, white water rafting. Golf courses, an adventure park (5min walk), trekking and walking, motor biking, road cycling. There is the glacier in Tignes which is 20 min drive away for snowboarding and skiing.

As this is for self catering it is down to you to decide what you want to do that day, but these is literally almost every activity you can think of to do, from relaxing walks and pony rides to rigorous one such as white water rapids and climbing/ mountain biking and of course summer snowboarding on the Tignes Glacier.
Most activities are within 5 min drive from the Chalet!
In the evenings there are bars and clubs open in both Bourg St Maurice and Les Arcs. There are blues/ classic concerts, street parties/ festivals, markets, cinemas and much much more. Visit the SEEZ tourist office to obtain the listings for the week you are staying. |

Chalet Description:
Sleeps 10-12 adults.
Bedroom 1:
This bedroom is roomy and very comfortable. It has an en suite shower and sink and there are great views down the valley out of the window.
Bedrooms 2:
This is a newly built bedroom measuring 16m2. Again it benefits from a beautiful en suite bathroom.
Bedrooms 3:
Again this is a newly built double bedroom with en suite bathroom with French windows that opens out onto the large terrace. Later on in the season when the snow has melted on the terrace, you can benefit from being able to step out side to catch a few rays!
Bedrooms 4 & 5:
They both have single beds so they can sleep either 2 or 3 people. They share the main bathroom with bath and shower. All of the bedrooms have plenty of storage space for all your equipment and clothes.
With our spacious livingroom you can relax on our large comfy sofa while reading a magazine or watching a DVD. We have just installed a log fire so you can relax in warmth reflecting on your days activities. We have reading area where you can play cards and games, have a look at our many art books.
Grab a drink from the trust fridge or go downstairs and relax in the 6 man Jacuzzi or do some rowing in our mini gym. Kids (of all ages!) can be left in peace in the mezzanine to play on the playstation or X box or even have a tinkle on the full size piano keyboard!)
For those of you who need to catch up with the real world, we have Free WIFI access so grab the access code off the host! We have re vamped the whole chalet with YOU in mind!
We are child friendly and Julie one of the hosts is a qualified nanny, so if you wish to leave your 'baby' while you go out on the piste we offer this in house nanny service for you. We have a cot, high chair and car seats so you do not have to worry about dragging this over from the UK!
We have a large selection of decent snowboard equipment at better rates than any hire shop so just let us know before you arrive what you require.
There is a large sun terrace with outdoor BBQ and a large balcony with superb views. We are installing a Jacuzzi and gym in to the Garage
A good size kitchen with dishwasher and all appliances you could require.
Garage and board back, and a boot storage/ drying room.
Local Shops:
There are 2 large supermarkets 5 min drive from the chalet. A bakery and small local shop which is 1 min drive from the chalet.
There are 2 good snowboard shops, clothes shops, equipment hire shops, 2 electrical goods stores, sports shops, a DIY store, tobacconist, butchers, boulangerie all within 5 min drive away.
Doctors/Hospitals:
The Doctors and pharmacy is within 5 min drive and the hospital is 20 min drive.
Bars & Clubs:
There are bars from 1 min drive away.
There are clubs and lots more bars in Les Arcs 1800 (20 min drive). We Recommend Benjis and La Jungle for good bars, and Apocalypse night club for those of you who want to have a dance. Le Kebab is just next door and they make the best Kebabs in the area! (During the winter we organise evening out to Les Arcs 1800). Val D'Isere (20 min drive) has a very good selection of bars and clubs also.
Kids Activities:
In Bourg t Maurice (5 min drive) there is a kids club where they look after your children and take them on activity adventures and sports such as horse riding, swimming, roller hockey, volley ball, orienteering, walking, climbing and much more! |
