High Atlas Bike Raid

Within easy reach of Marrakech, the trails around Jebel Toubkal and the surrounding peaks offer some memorable mountain biking. Our challenging route is incredibly varied as it makes a loop around this impressive peak. The landscapes change considerably from fertile valleys, full of walnut, fig, date and olive trees, to the thick pines of the Toubkal National Forest, and the beautifully barren reaches of the High Atlas mountains themselves. There is a genuine feeling of remoteness that is enhanced by our carefully chosen 'wild' camp-sites.

The riding itself is mainly on dirt tracks that wind their way between mountain villages, where we experience the way of life of the local Berber people. The week ends in Marrakech, were there is time to lose yourself in the heavy atmosphere of the souks and Djemaa el Fna square.
